I like the pictures of the antique cups. Are the sides of cups today straighter than in the past? It looks like it to me. Was that a evolutionary process related to taste? Thanks for your contribution to the tea community

I am not sure. At any given time, there must be more than one style in pottery making although some are signature styles that represent the era.
These are common potteries made for common people by local kilns in southern China.
