Tea flower tea? This sounds odd. Anyhow this is a bing of flowers from tea trees. It taste great with only a few blooms at a time. Honey roasted sweet aroma, actual tea flavor in taste. I might try it with some "less great" tea to see if I can create a new concoction.
Purchased from an Ebay seller for $12.50 plus shipping. At 5 blooms per cup without resteeping, this bing will last for an eternity. The calligraphy is a nice little souvenir too, I am keeping it on a scrap book. It's actually handwritten.The scent of seed oil functions like a perfume ad in a magazine except better and possibly keeps bugs away too.

Tea flower is considered as a floral-herbal type of tea, tisane if you will. Such as rose and jasmine, but coming from a tea tree, it's bound to have tea flavor in addition to the floral aroma.

In Korea, after drinking a green tea for the 4th brew, tea master will add flower into the pot mixing with the remaining green for a 3 mins infus in low temp.

I actually tried that with my 8 yrs old loose leave pu-erh. I added 4-5 blooms to the 6th brew, the pu-erh was very light with a slight hint of sweetness and some smoky aroma, after I added the blooms, the honey roasted taste mixed well with the smokiness of pu-erh, added a layer of floral scent, deepened the tea soup texture as well.
It's a nice touch when you need something different. However like the Chinese saying, hard-core tea drinkers don't drink floral/herbal tea. It's all about personal preference. I rather try something new and different than missing out.

I sneezed at 3:30am 8/25/06. I just had a cup of this tea tree flower tea 10 minutes ago. Boy, that subtle sweet honey floral aroma shot out of my nose through my throat. Pleasantly weird!
