The editor of LA Times called and informed me the article should be out on Wednesday the 19th, in the food section! Yay!!!!

I assume that means in September, right? Otherwise I think that they're a little late in telling you...I will definitely buy a copy that day and scrutinize if they have their information on tea is correct...haha

So do you know if you will be in the actual physical paper, or on the website? Congratulations! By the way- the post about the Chinese gardens in Huntington was wonderful- I have to go.

Maitre Tea,

Oops, my bad. It's next wednesday the 19th. Thanks for catching that! :)

H,

It will be in the paper and the website. I am going to the garden on Monday again. :D

Imen, I hope you buy a few extra copies of the paper, so you can keep them for posterity. Congratulations!

Congratulations... I hope this will open the eyes of more people in the greater LA area about the fact that they have such a great shop so close by!

I'm very happy about the publicity that your shop is going to get and glad that tea is becoming more well-known (especially something as esoteric as DC), but I suddenly realized that if this leads to an influx of tea novices, they'll snatch up the teas I want! And it's worse too since old bush trees can only produce so much a year...

Steven,

haha, I will grab every paper at the grocery store in our shopping center! :P

Will, thanks!

Maitre Tea,

Don't worry, it will be a long while before enough tea drinkers catch on these teas and willing to pay that kinda price for it.

Even Chinese in China are not drinking them fast enough, else I won't be able to import any. :)

Imen, I'm happy for you. I have another little article that might be of interest to you. It's a champagne blogger talking about the terroir of vessels used for tea as well as for wine. He talked about Dan Cong specifically and I've never heard anyone this insightful on this topic.
Here'sthe post

Hey, Are we in it?

Jason,

Thanks for the link! Same principle can be applied to many aspects of life. :)

Takuro,

I don't know. We'll find out tomorrow. :)

Just read the online version, and I'll be buying a copy of the print version tomorrow. Very nice article, and it also helped me decide which tea I want to try next (Ba Xian). I was on the fence about that or some other tea, and they way they described it clinched it for me. Very nice statements there, I think I like the last one the most. Congratulations!

It's Wednesday morning and I've read it. Unreal. I can't get over it. That was not only big publicity but was an incredible story. The reporter just fell in love with Imen, and it showed. This is something countless people covet when they're covered by the news like this. And the newspaper seemed to really understand fine tea well, talking so much about the tasting experience and the terroir and such. I'm really proud of Imen for this. --Jason

A nice article, a good photo, with all this new found fame I guess we will have to place our orders more quickly if we don't want to miss them!

Congrats on the article!

I'm sorry for not having visited your store yet (my loss!) Driving from Thousand Oaks to where you are is just a little too far for someone not used to SoCal traffic, given family commitments and all that. Now that (almost) all my cousins are married off, maybe my next trip to LA will finally give me enough time :)

Hey guys,

Thanks for all your support! It has been a very interesting and busy day.

I'll have to catch up with many emails, messages and update of the link to my website. I am a bit behind on all of these things. Hope you all have a wonderful time reading the article. :D
